In terms of baby products, it is necessary to consider the safety and non-toxicity of the material, and also consider the interest characteristics of the child. Silicone rubber is safe and environmentally friendly, widely recognized by parents, non-toxic and tasteless, high temperature resistance, strong plasticity, to meet the production requirements of different styles of products. GKI silicone rubber is LFGB certified and even ISO 10993 medical tested for extremely low volatile organic compounds (VOM) after baking at 200°C.

 

After vulcanization of ordinary liquid rubber, the VOM standard energy consumption is higher. Liquid silicone rubber is one of the most ideal and safest materials for pacifiers and bottles due to its good biocompatibility, excellent mechanical strength, safety and non-toxicity. The VOM of ordinary liquid silicone rubber after vulcanization is almost close to 1%, so manufacturers of baby and child products generally have to go through 200℃, 4-8hours secondary vulcanization treatment when using ordinary liquid silicone rubber to make the final VOM of the product less than 0.5%.
